Hello readers,
Mondays mean fresh starts but for some of us they can trigger anxiety and the Monday blues!

Being anxious isn’t harmful, we all experience anxiety at some point in our lives. Getting over it and not letting it interfere with our daily routine and mood should be under our control.

When our anxiety gets a grip over us, it gives birth to feelings like fear and doubt. These very fears and doubts are known to be responsible for killing more dreams than failure ever can. Fear of failure arises only when one fixates over the end result and not over the journey towards success. 

But why fear failure? 

Failure is success in progress. – A. Einstein.

I haven’t failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that don’t work. – Thomas Edison.

This is what two of the greatest minds in history thought about failure! If they didn’t fear it, why should we?

To get your inner confidence shining brightly, I have brought you a mantra this Monday!

“Inhale confidence, exhale doubt!”

Simple, isn’t it? Say it to yourself today! Repeat it while you breathe to give you the confidence to do whatever you set your mind to! Remember that doubt will stop you every time you decide to take an action. Exhale and let it go.

Inhale confidence and do whatever it takes to achieve your task at hand. Believe that you can do it! Divide your work or activity into small, simpler and doable tasks and tackle each one of them, step by step. This practice will help you understand and complete any task in a better way. Writing down relevant points will also help you remember stuff better and let you think in an organized way. Try it, it works!

It’s monday today! This day marks the start of another eventful week of work which is why getting worked up and anxious is but natural.

Wishing to start every week on a happy note? Get rid of those monday blues now by reading through these quick fixes guaranteed to get you cheerful in no time!

  1. Figure out why you dread ‘the Mondays’ – Stop dreading Mondays right now! Realise that monday is just like any other day, which it actually is. Try to zero in on what exactly is making you dread Mondays. A little self introspection can help here. Is the dread related to not getting to office on time? Set your alarm a bit earlier than usual and see how it works for you. Is it because of your work? Try to get the issue resolved to get rid of the monday blues! Figuring the cause for your dread will help you solve this problem once and for all!
  2. Schedule a fun activity – Notice how we look forward to the fun activities we schedule? Who said that fun can be only had on weekends? If you have a relatively free monday evening coming up, schedule something fun to look forward to after work! Go shopping or watch a movie which you have been planning to watch for quite some time now. Meet up some friends for a quick get-together or binge on tv!
  3. Meditation or exercise – These are great at eliminating the feeling of dread and replacing them with positive feelings. Meditation and exercise boost your happiness levels and decrease stress. They increase the blood supply throughout the body and make you feel refreshed and energetic. These help boost your immune system, increase your strength as well as cut the flab! All in all, a great package to try out.
  4. Listen to music – Listen to good music, one with motivating and uplifting lyrics! Researchers have found out that musical beats affect out heartbeats and thereby affect our mood. This activity is also said to be a complete workout for the brain as it improves your memory, your listening skills, decreases pain, aids in sleep issues and so on. So what are you waiting got? Go grab those headphones now!
  5. Go walking –  There are a few things that cannot be cured by a simple walk. Walking is great for both physical and mental health. About 5 minutes are also enough for your body to show anti-anxiety effects!

    It’s a magical monday today! The first day to welcome us all to a week full of new possibilities!

    Monday is the day most people dread and require motivation to trudge along on. In reality, monday is just like any other new day. In fact it is one which provides us all with a chance to a fresh start and to begin with a clean slate.

    This monday fill in your slate with motivation and happiness. Make your monday a happy one by referring to this monday checklist –

    1. Get up – Only when you get up can you show up and once you do that, you will realise that this is all you ever needed to jump right into a happy and eventful week! Showing up makes you win half the battle. Getting up a bit earlier than your schedule demands you to, will help you relax through monday.

    2. Grab that coffee – Not that difficult right? In case you prefer tea, do that. The power and magic contained within a cup of your favourite beverage cannot be overstated! It helps get you charged up for the day!

    3. Make a brief to do list – This is for the anxious ones out there who can feel a little out-of-place without one. If making lists works for you, chart out a plan for the day and list down the things you wish to get accomplished today. This will help you organise your activities and will lead to a happier and less stressful you!

    4. A healthy breakfast – Having a healthy breakfast gives you the energy to kick-start your day! It is the most important meal of the day and research had proved that certain foods can affect your mood and emotions which gives us enough reason to seriously concentrate on this activity!

    5. Practice affirmations – Very important! Have an idea about how you want your monday to turn out? State the reasons out to yourself as affirmations. Affirmations have a lot of power and can fill your day with good vibes!

    6. Pray – Believe in the existence of supreme power greater than you are? Call it God, call it nature or anything you believe in. Praying and having faith in this power can help you feel blessed and at peace and will make your monday mindful and happy!

    7. Hold an attitude to gratitude – Be thankful for all the small yet lovely things that you come across throughout the day!
