Hello everyone!

Hope that this week has started off on a positive and a more-than-kind note for you! 🙂

Today’s post is an update on my blogging journey. It has been a little more than two months (around two weeks less to three months!) since I began this blog. This post is a bit like my last blog update post (it can also consist of some tested blogging advice), the one which describes my experiences throughout my first month of blogging. If you haven’t read that one already, do so here!

Irrespective of everything I have experienced on this exciting journey, let me start off by telling you all that my blogging journey has been amazing so far and it continues to make me happy! Blogging has given me a reason to look forward to every single day. It has been made all the more exciting and like-able, thanks to all you lovely and supportive bloggers out here!

Coming back to the update, most of June and half of July was spent thinking over the following questions which every blogger encounters;

  1. Should I get my blog self-hosted? If yes, which hosting platform should I opt for?
  2. Content generation and content promotion! (Most important – as it is quality, consistent content that will get readers interested in any blog.)
  3. Should I commit to a blog challenge?
  4. How often should I write down a blog post?
  5. Is there any way to make my blog more appealing by using another theme, opting for better pictures, getting my own ones, better lettering, etc?

The answers to some of which I am sure I will receive with time and further blogging experience!

I feel privileged that during this month, I received tons of helpful blogging advice and tips from many bloggers running their blogs successfully. I admit that I did post a lesser number of blog posts during this last month because I was a little preoccupied with a lot of issues related to my blog and gathering this wealth of information! 🙂

This month I started off by establishing a social media existence for my blog namely; a Facebook page for this blog – ‘Pooja’s rose tinted glasses‘ and an Instagram handle – life_rosetinted! Make sure that you check these out by clicking on the links above and follow me if you are interested! 🙂

Amidst all this, some striking things that I learnt during this period are as follows:

  1. The importance of a blog schedule: Consistent and planned content generation is important which is where scheduling what goes up on your blog when is so important.
  2. The importance of finding your tribe: Your tribe consists of the people who love reading what you share and would love to engage with your content. It is extremely important to think over the ideal person who you feel will be interested in your blog. This helps create and craft specific targeted content.
  3. Be you to keep your blog running successfully: Your tribe loves to engage in your posts because of you and your content so give them more of that. Being original gives your blog quality audience.
  4. It is okay to run out of ideas only to be so full of them the next second: No explaining needed for this one!
  5. Quality over quantity: Writing down one post containing well structured quality content is always better than writing down five okay ones!

Another thing I have realized is that setting down some goals will help take my blog another valuable step ahead than where it stands at the end of each month! I have thus decided to go slow and break down bigger goals into smaller ones to have steady progress (as it doesn’t make sense to simply set big monthly goals – might just stress me out!) So some of my do-able goals for the coming month are;

  1. Learning and creating at least one useful printable (freebie)!
  2. Treating my blog as an important business.
  3. Structuring quality content.
  4. Increasing my engagement with other bloggers.
  5. Look up on guest posting and decide if I should go for it.

I hope to achieve these goals successfully and set new ones in the next update post! 🙂 Wish me luck!

Another thing – I would love to know what goals you are setting for your blog(s), social media accounts etc. and what actions are you taking to achieve them. Would probably help me know a lot more about your blogging journey and blogging in general! Let us all inspire and motivate each other to blog better and grow as better bloggers! 🙂

Wish you a fantastic day! Love, Pooja. 🙂

If you have ever experienced moments when things just didn’t seem to be going right for you, let me remind you all that you aren’t alone.

Each day of our lives revolve around so many activities and tasks. Life is all about finding the balance among all these daily activities and achieving health & positive mindfulness.

It is while playing this balancing act that so many things can go wrong due to so many different reasons. Maybe things turned into worse scenarios due to things totally out of your control, maybe you just weren’t physically well, maybe someone else ended up making things bad for you and so on.

Whatever the reason may be, you cannot and should not allow the things that went wrong to spiral downwards further out of your control.

Take your time to vent things out and let go of the chaos inside your head but make sure you get out of it with a lesson learnt. Do not let it dull your sparkle & shine! 😊

If you are going through a difficult time right now & if things are feeling like they are going against you, here are 3 pearls of wisdom to help you embrace and realize the importance of these trying times as well;

wp-image-173109781
When some things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for the many ones going right.

At any given moment, remember that not everything is going downhill for you. You are still living the life that many people on the planet are only dreaming of. Utilize these moments and situations to thank for and be grateful for the things that you normally take for granted in your beautiful life everyday. Remember – You are blessed!

wp-image--221352877
Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling in place.

Life is like a puzzle and has many pieces to it. Remember the times when you ended up arranging the pieces of a puzzle in the wrong sequence? All the pieces had to be pulled back apart and arranged in a different order to create the final correct masterpiece! It is the same with life. When things fall apart, God or the supreme power you believe in, is actually working on your life to create a stunning masterpiece! Maybe the one that had been arranged before wasn’t the one for you, maybe you deserve better. Sit back and watch as these trying times will soon pass.

wp-image-1371034903
When a child learns to walk & falls, it never thinks that maybe this isn’t for me.

So maybe things went wrong because you were to blame.. Life is all about constant learning and change. Take it as an opportunity to help you learn a new lesson. When a child learns to walk and falls, it never thinks that maybe this isn’t for me. It tries till it finally learns to walk! So can you. One failed opportunity doesn’t mean that things wont go right for you ever again. Accept the situation, take your time to deal with it and move on. You deserve the right to be or do anything that you wish to be irrespective of a few rough patches of life.

Life is a beautiful journey meant to be lived in full consciousness. One may stumble upon a few blocks or mountains on the way. The way one decides how to face them in the long run, makes one’s life a problematic one or a successful one.

Be positive, always. Love, Pooja. 😊

Hello readers,
Mondays mean fresh starts but for some of us they can trigger anxiety and the Monday blues!

Being anxious isn’t harmful, we all experience anxiety at some point in our lives. Getting over it and not letting it interfere with our daily routine and mood should be under our control.

When our anxiety gets a grip over us, it gives birth to feelings like fear and doubt. These very fears and doubts are known to be responsible for killing more dreams than failure ever can. Fear of failure arises only when one fixates over the end result and not over the journey towards success.

But why fear failure?

Failure is success in progress. – A. Einstein.

I haven’t failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that don’t work. – Thomas Edison.

This is what two of the greatest minds in history thought about failure! If they didn’t fear it, why should we?

To get your inner confidence shining brightly, I have brought you a mantra this Monday!

“Inhale confidence, exhale doubt!”

Simple, isn’t it? Say it to yourself today! Repeat it while you breathe to give you the confidence to do whatever you set your mind to! Remember that doubt will stop you every time you decide to take an action. Exhale and let it go.

Inhale confidence and do whatever it takes to achieve your task at hand. Believe that you can do it! Divide your work or activity into small, simpler and doable tasks and tackle each one of them, step by step. This practice will help you understand and complete any task in a better way. Writing down relevant points will also help you remember stuff better and let you think in an organized way. Try it, it works!

If you suffer from Monday blues, go through one of my previous articles and see if it helps you by clicking here. Till more tips follow! 😊

Go ahead and own this week with confidence.

Keep rocking and stay happy! Love, Pooja.

Hello again!

‘Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.’ – E. V.

I am in love with the above quote! It shows that there is something that we can learn from every other thing around us, including flowers.

Flowers have so much beauty and contain magic within them! Magic enough to mesmerise anyone and uplift anyone’s mood in an instant! Just like the flowers in the picture above did! Simply noticing the above beauties in the morning made my day and I instantly knew that this was something that I had to share with you all!

Since it also happens to be floral Friday, I am going to list down a few things that we all can learn from flowers. Read on for some major life lessons which flowers teach us every single day;

Bloom where you are placed An important lesson for us to remember! We CAN grow to our fullest potential irrespective of where we are placed in our lives.

Spread your fragrance Each of us have a fragrance or quality which is unique to us. Never let go of it, even if times get tough!

Learn to live with thorns Not all periods of our life are meant to be celebrated. Accept that life can and will be tough. It only makes the good moments sweeter.

You can survive unfavourable conditions – Just as flowers can grow on plants which grow through cracks, we too can find our greatest victories and achieve maximum growth even in adverse conditions.

Stay rooted Even on reaching your highest goals do not forget where you first started from. Stay humble and rooted to your branch.

The power of silence – Flowers grow to their fullest and bloom even in silence.

Beauty is diverse Every flower is different. There are so many varieties of flowers but each is beautiful in its own way! None can be compared with the other.

This, of course isn’t an exhaustive list but all that I could compile for now. Will add some more in another blog post later! Concluding this post with another quote that I love;

‘The flower which grows in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.’

Hope you have an amazing Friday! Stay happy! 😊

Love, Pooja.

Hello!

It has been less than a month since I started my blog, Life – Rose-Tinted, and I am thankful to you all for all your likes, comments and support! I truly appreciate it! You truly inspire me to do better with each passing day!

For today’s blog post, I have decided to go ahead with the Thursday thoughts theme.

I love reading thoughts as they help us become better people. They are an entire knowledge source within themselves. This is why I am sharing some of my favourite thoughts with you. Simply a collection of some lovely thoughts which I love reading through again and again. Going through them will give you that much-needed boost for the day and fill you with purpose and inspiration!

Read on for some food for thought –

‘Thousands of candles can be lighted from one single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.’

‘If you have the power to make someone happy, even if it is to bring a smile to their faces, do it! The world needs more of that.’

‘Shared joy is double joy.’

‘To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness.’

‘A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated, or being perfect. It’s about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others.’

‘Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything that it is.’

‘There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path.’

‘We all have a unique art, a personal passion that serves as a vessel through which our souls speak. True happiness is found by filling it and purpose is fulfilled by pouring it out.’

‘Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.’

‘Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart than a piece of our mind.’

‘It’s all contained within the little things in life.’

‘Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light!’

‘I AM, are the two most powerful words. For what you put after them shapes your destiny.’

What do you think about these thoughts? Take some moments to reflect over these. Let me know about some of your favourites too! Wish you all a thoughtful Thursday!

Love, Pooja.

Hello!

It’s a magical monday today! The first day to welcome us all to a week full of new possibilities!

Monday is the day most people dread and require motivation to trudge along on. In reality, monday is just like any other new day. In fact it is one which provides us all with a chance to a fresh start and to begin with a clean slate.

This monday fill in your slate with motivation and happiness. Make your monday a happy one by referring to this monday checklist –

1. Get up – Only when you get up can you show up and once you do that, you will realise that this is all you ever needed to jump right into a happy and eventful week! Showing up makes you win half the battle. Getting up a bit earlier than your schedule demands you to, will help you relax through monday.

2. Grab that coffee – Not that difficult right? In case you prefer tea, do that. The power and magic contained within a cup of your favourite beverage cannot be overstated! It helps get you charged up for the day!

3. Make a brief to do list – This is for the anxious ones out there who can feel a little out-of-place without one. If making lists works for you, chart out a plan for the day and list down the things you wish to get accomplished today. This will help you organise your activities and will lead to a happier and less stressful you!

4. A healthy breakfast – Having a healthy breakfast gives you the energy to kick-start your day! It is the most important meal of the day and research had proved that certain foods can affect your mood and emotions which gives us enough reason to seriously concentrate on this activity!

5. Practice affirmations – Very important! Have an idea about how you want your monday to turn out? State the reasons out to yourself as affirmations. Affirmations have a lot of power and can fill your day with good vibes!

6. Pray – Believe in the existence of supreme power greater than you are? Call it God, call it nature or anything you believe in. Praying and having faith in this power can help you feel blessed and at peace and will make your monday mindful and happy!

7. Hold an attitude to gratitude – Be thankful for all the small yet lovely things that you come across throughout the day!

Follow it through and you will realise that this checklist is all you need for a great start to your monday! Do add in your comments if you feel like I have left out on something!

Wish you a lovely Monday filled with happiness.

Love, Pooja.

Hello!

The weekend is finally here and to all those who have had a difficult week – You made it through! 😊  Keep rocking and relax!

Weekends are fun! Weekends are unpredictable as these are the only times when most of us do not have to go by a schedule! I am thankful for weekends because they allow me to catch up on the things I love but don’t find time for throughout the week. For me, weekends are a time to catch up on my reading, listen to music, spend time with my loving family and to read through all the interesting stuff posted by the bloggers at WordPress.

It is also lets me do one more thing that I love most, to write! Inspiration hit me today when I came across ‘The daily Post’s current prompt which is the word -‘better’!

Better is a word that has a big hold over happiness. In our lives, at some point or the other, we are all victims of the ‘better tag’! I have noticed that when people are asked if they are happy with their lives they always reply with a, “I wish I had better _______ (something) than I have now!”

They wish for better health, a better job, a better car, a better house, a better lifestyle, a better family and so on.

Wanting better things in life is the way one achieves progress. This wish is sometimes even motivating! A healthy wish to own ‘the better stuff’ is welcome but if your wish to get better things supercedes your happiness, unhealthy feelings like frustration and negation soon come into picture.

If you are experiencing this, let go of these harmful emotions today! Do not let these feelings ruin your present and stop you from loving what you have. Appreciate and be grateful for the things you have now and better things will soon follow.

After all, life is like coffee. It does not matter what cup we are served the coffee in, that isn’t the point. It doesn’t even make sense to judge someone else’s coffee based on their fancy cups. What matters is the taste of the coffee within. It is ours to enjoy!

Hope your weekend is full of positivity. Love, Pooja.
