Hello everyone!

Hope you all are well and having a great time doing what you all love! 😊

I haven’t been very active here for a week thanks to a very busy schedule but I have a few exciting things coming up! 😀 Have been working on them!

One of those things is my very 1st guest post! One of my goals for this month was to look up on what how guest posting works and to try it soon. Today, I am writing to let you all know that my very 1st guest post is active today! 😊 Yaay!!

So a few days after I set myself that goal, I came across Cassie Hampson’s post. She was asking for people to guest post on her blog & I felt that this was the opportunity I was waiting for!

Let me start by telling you that Cassie’s blog is really awesome! She blogs at ZombieGoddessBeauty & GirlswhoBlogRT about ‘a little bit of everything’ which makes going through her blogs a really interesting experience! 😊 Do check them out!
Cassie was kind enough to let the people guest post about topics which they would normally put up on their own blogs which was awesome for someone who is just starting out like me! Let’s say it was a win-win situation! 😀

Thank you Cassie for the awesome opportunity! The blog post was put up on her blog on the 31st of July i.e. yesterday night but am sharing it now because of the time difference!

So the topic I had chosen to write on for my 1st guest post was ”Reasons why the world needs positivity & tiny ways in which we can contribute”!

Do check out the blog post by clicking here!

Hope you like it and agree with what I say! Do let me know in the comments; either here or there! 😊

If you haven’t guest posted before, try it. It feels great to stay in touch with other awesome and like-minded bloggers who inspire you to do better each day!

Also stay tuned for the other awesome things that I have planned for you all – coming up in the next few days! 😀

Have a positive day! Love, Pooja. 😊

Hello everyone!

Hope that this week has started off on a positive and a more-than-kind note for you! 🙂

Today’s post is an update on my blogging journey. It has been a little more than two months (around two weeks less to three months!) since I began this blog. This post is a bit like my last blog update post (it can also consist of some tested blogging advice), the one which describes my experiences throughout my first month of blogging. If you haven’t read that one already, do so here!

Irrespective of everything I have experienced on this exciting journey, let me start off by telling you all that my blogging journey has been amazing so far and it continues to make me happy! Blogging has given me a reason to look forward to every single day. It has been made all the more exciting and like-able, thanks to all you lovely and supportive bloggers out here!

Coming back to the update, most of June and half of July was spent thinking over the following questions which every blogger encounters;

  1. Should I get my blog self-hosted? If yes, which hosting platform should I opt for?
  2. Content generation and content promotion! (Most important – as it is quality, consistent content that will get readers interested in any blog.)
  3. Should I commit to a blog challenge?
  4. How often should I write down a blog post?
  5. Is there any way to make my blog more appealing by using another theme, opting for better pictures, getting my own ones, better lettering, etc?

The answers to some of which I am sure I will receive with time and further blogging experience!

I feel privileged that during this month, I received tons of helpful blogging advice and tips from many bloggers running their blogs successfully. I admit that I did post a lesser number of blog posts during this last month because I was a little preoccupied with a lot of issues related to my blog and gathering this wealth of information! 🙂

This month I started off by establishing a social media existence for my blog namely; a Facebook page for this blog – ‘Pooja’s rose tinted glasses‘ and an Instagram handle – life_rosetinted! Make sure that you check these out by clicking on the links above and follow me if you are interested! 🙂

Amidst all this, some striking things that I learnt during this period are as follows:

  1. The importance of a blog schedule: Consistent and planned content generation is important which is where scheduling what goes up on your blog when is so important.
  2. The importance of finding your tribe: Your tribe consists of the people who love reading what you share and would love to engage with your content. It is extremely important to think over the ideal person who you feel will be interested in your blog. This helps create and craft specific targeted content.
  3. Be you to keep your blog running successfully: Your tribe loves to engage in your posts because of you and your content so give them more of that. Being original gives your blog quality audience.
  4. It is okay to run out of ideas only to be so full of them the next second: No explaining needed for this one!
  5. Quality over quantity: Writing down one post containing well structured quality content is always better than writing down five okay ones!

Another thing I have realized is that setting down some goals will help take my blog another valuable step ahead than where it stands at the end of each month! I have thus decided to go slow and break down bigger goals into smaller ones to have steady progress (as it doesn’t make sense to simply set big monthly goals – might just stress me out!) So some of my do-able goals for the coming month are;

  1. Learning and creating at least one useful printable (freebie)!
  2. Treating my blog as an important business.
  3. Structuring quality content.
  4. Increasing my engagement with other bloggers.
  5. Look up on guest posting and decide if I should go for it.

I hope to achieve these goals successfully and set new ones in the next update post! 🙂 Wish me luck!

Another thing – I would love to know what goals you are setting for your blog(s), social media accounts etc. and what actions are you taking to achieve them. Would probably help me know a lot more about your blogging journey and blogging in general! Let us all inspire and motivate each other to blog better and grow as better bloggers! 🙂

Wish you a fantastic day! Love, Pooja. 🙂

Hello everyone!

Hope you have had a good week! It’s already Saturday morning and for me, the week just seemed to fly away.

I haven’t been able to write as much as I wanted to this week but I will try my best to make it up in the next one!

Last week, Maggie of dreaming of Guatemala nominated me for the Cramm Award in one of her award posts. This is why, today’s post is going to be related to my nomination for the Cramm Award!

The Creator of the Cramm Award: Liv at theCramm is the creator! The Cramm is an awesome website which converts everyday news into an easier to read through format. Do check it out!

Nominator: Maggie of dreamingofGuatemala! She is an amazing individual and I always look forward to her blog posts. This award, coming from her, is very special for me! 😊

Rules for the Cramm Award:

  1. Include a little bit about who created this award (with a link) and mention the person the who nominated you.
  2. Share 3 things that motivate you to blog and share 3 people who motivate you to blog as well
  3. Share one thing you hope to do that will improve the world.
  4. Answer your challenge question
  5. Nominate your choice of bloggers and give them a challenge question

Three Things That Motivate Me To Blog:

  1. The exchange of thoughts – A big reason that motivates me to blog is the fact that blogging introduces my thoughts and ideas to other bloggers. The interaction with other bloggers irrespective of the the topics they blog on is something that I enjoy!
  2. A chance to help others notice life’s little pleasures – I love it when people like what I write or at least feel a little happy when I share my experiences with them.
  3. The enormous number of quality blogs based on varied topics! – Of course! I can never leave out all those awesome bloggers out there. The internet is flooded with so many of them whose writing motivates me and makes me challenge myself when it comes to writing!

Three People Who Inspire Me To Blog:

    1. My mom  My mother inspires me to do so many things, including blogging! She has always supported every decision i have ever taken in my life and that alone is an inspiration for me to keep doing better each day!
    2.  My guiding angel – I am sure there is one who always guides me on my life path! My blogging journey is one such example – I created my website on the spur of the moment or rather it just happened without any prior planning. I had always wanted to start my blog but one evening, I simply decided to create a WordPress account and write out a blog post and hit the publish button! I think my guiding angel just gave me the push I needed to enter into the world of blogging! 😊
    3. Other bloggers – Ok, I know that other bloggers are not one person but they all are the ones who inspire me to blog and get better at it!

A big thank you to all these people! Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to write even a single word! 😊 💕

The one thing that can improve the world:

      Compassion –

“The most powerful force in the world that can change the lives of millions of people is Compassion.” – Steve Aitchison.

“Compassion is the wish to see others free of suffering.” – Dalai Lama.

I seriously feel that compassion is very important, has always been, especially at this point of time in the world. I have noticed that many people are sometimes insensitive when it comes to other people and their sufferings. People have developed a self-centric attitude and sometimes ignore to pay attention beyond their own self. Compassion is to become aware of another person’s suffering and to do your bit towards relieving the other person’s suffering and not to become the cause of another man’s suffering. A little bit of compassion and kindness has the ability to turn the world around! It has been scientifically proved that practicing compassion helps develop lasting happiness, the kind of happiness and self contentment that sticks around for a long time.

      My Answer to Maggie’s Question:

Question: What’s your favorite inspiring quote? Why does it inspire you?

      Answer: I love quotes and the messages they pass on to us. There are just so very mang ones that inspire me! But the following one has a big role in inspiring me;

“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must but take that step.” – Uche Odiatu.

This quote never fails to inspire me to take that one step closer to my goal. We have all been in that place and moment in our lives where we were unable to figure out where to begin or what to do next. I have hesitated or quit doing something all together because of this dilemma. This quote taught me that my efforts, however small, can be enough to propel me in the right direction. This quote has helped me get through those times, has motivated and inspired me to take that tiny crucial step further.

      Nominations:

I seriously get inspired by all you bloggers out here and this is why am unable to select a few. My nominations are open to all so if anyone who wishes to go ahead and answer my question can do so! 😊

      My Question:

If you lived your life without any fear or restrictions, what is the one thing you would do to change the world?

Answer away! I would delight me to read your answers! 😊

Have a great weekend! Love, Pooja.

I am so honored to have been nominated for the Awesome blogger Award! These words are simply music to my ears! Words fail to describe what I am feeling as I write this. It hasn’t even a been a complete month since I started this blog and I am overwhelmed with the response from all my dear fellow bloggers!

Thank you Shooting Star for nominating me for this award! 😊

      Some information about this award:

This award was created by Miss Maggie over at Dreaming of Guatemala and she says,

This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.

Now who wouldn’t love to be described as that?!

Getting to the next step! The Q & A’s!

      I now have to answer the questions provided to me. Thank you again Shooting Star, for the amazing questionnaire! I had a great time thinking over the answers to your thought-provoking questions. Here goes;

Q.1 What is your dream holiday destination?

      A. There are many beautiful locations around the world, but I would choose Bali as my dream holiday destination! Haven’t been there yet but hope to soon. Have heard that it has beautiful beaches, exotic weather, cliff temples, good food, warm-hearted people, what’s not to love?

Q 2. What would you wish for if you get one boon to wish for anything at all?

      A. Hmm.. I would wish to gather up all the evils that escaped from Pandora’s box and lock them up again so that the world would never know pain or any other negative feelings! Everyone would be at peace and th world would definitely become a happier place.

Q 3. What is your favorite book?

      A. Atlas Shrugged is my all time favorite book. I simply love and admire Dagny, John, Francisco, Rearden (to name a few) and their dedication and love for their life and work. Love John’s statement, “I swear by my life and by my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, not ask another man to live for mine.’

Q 4. What is the one movie you can watch over and over again?

      A.  I can name a couple of movies. I can watch Eat, Pray, Love as I am fascinated by the character’s soul-searching journey through three countries. Real steel is also in the list (Might be because I am a bit biased towards Hugh Jackman). Dear Zindagi (Translation: Dear Life) is also one I can watch. It is an Indian Hindi movie which deals with a doctor who helps a distraught girl gain a new perspective on her life.

Q 5. What is the one belief you would never give up on?

      A. I believe that in life, one always has a choice and that we all have some or the other purpose to our lives.

Q 6. Which is your favourite Disney character?

      A. I love Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She is a strong girl who is capable of seeing real beauty beyond appearances. Plus she has access to that amazing library, which is a major plus point in her favour! 😃

Q 7. How would you define life in a few words?

      A. I feel that life is an adventure & it has something different in store for every individual.

Q 8. How do you wish to see yourself ten years later?

      A. I wish to see myself as a person who learns from her mistakes, is stronger than what I am now and to spread happiness to many more people! I wish to see myself grow personally as well as professionally over the years and to have my goals realised!

Q 9. What is the one drink that can lighten your mood within seconds?

      A. Hot chocolate without doubt! Sometimes tea does it too!

      10. One experience or realisation that changed your life?

      A. I lost my Dad at a young age and that had a big impact on my life. It made me realise that life can change in an instant and that we should never take anything for granted. Always be thankful and grateful for what you have now. It also taught me that life does indeed go on.

      Hello again!

‘Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.’ – E. V.

I am in love with the above quote! It shows that there is something that we can learn from every other thing around us, including flowers.

Flowers have so much beauty and contain magic within them! Magic enough to mesmerise anyone and uplift anyone’s mood in an instant! Just like the flowers in the picture above did! Simply noticing the above beauties in the morning made my day and I instantly knew that this was something that I had to share with you all!

      Since it also happens to be floral Friday, I am going to list down a few things that we all can learn from flowers. Read on for some major life lessons which flowers teach us every single day;

Bloom where you are placed An important lesson for us to remember! We CAN grow to our fullest potential irrespective of where we are placed in our lives.

Spread your fragrance Each of us have a fragrance or quality which is unique to us. Never let go of it, even if times get tough!

Learn to live with thorns Not all periods of our life are meant to be celebrated. Accept that life can and will be tough. It only makes the good moments sweeter.

You can survive unfavourable conditions – Just as flowers can grow on plants which grow through cracks, we too can find our greatest victories and achieve maximum growth even in adverse conditions.

Stay rooted Even on reaching your highest goals do not forget where you first started from. Stay humble and rooted to your branch.

The power of silence – Flowers grow to their fullest and bloom even in silence.

Beauty is diverse Every flower is different. There are so many varieties of flowers but each is beautiful in its own way! None can be compared with the other.

      This, of course isn’t an exhaustive list but all that I could compile for now. Will add some more in another blog post later! Concluding this post with another quote that I love;

‘The flower which grows in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.’

Hope you have an amazing Friday! Stay happy! 😊

      Love, Pooja.
